"Get The Experience in Togetherness ....".

Jumat, 25 Maret 2011

"Part of the Forest" is a the  theme of years 2011.  Environmental education, the theme this year, children how to recognize  of the nature.  All  activities guided  by  a environmental teachers who can explained something different which they have not experience  in their live everyday before.
All activities this year will be centered around the Halimun National Park West  Java. First camping locations at Sukamantri have been held in Bogor, West Java in 2011 March month. There are several activities that have been done on this occasion, among others are:  awarness with meditation exercise activities (for children), forest exploitation - playing in the woods (make a house of leaves), dialogue with the nature, and others.  These are some comments from children; My experience followed the forest program learning in Sukamantri very happy. In there  I can learn meditation, setting up tent, and learn about the forest. For example, when I learned to meditate, I have peace, so my brain is not constantly thinking about school or his any other (Candra grade 4). My impression during the following forest school very happy,  Because I can learn a lot in outdoor activities. I can learn how to set up a tent, how to make a campfire, and how to make a tent of twigs and leaves (Srianjani grade 6) .
Camping is not  a new thing for me probably, but not for children. Children had been learned to live together, and they did  be able to do it without the help of tutors. That's because such an attitude should be trained from an early age so that they do not become a spoiled child in the future (Lukman – Tutors). This kind of activity expected of children are increasingly recognizing the importance of forests for living life. Sooner or later the children will be motivated to learn and respect nature as an integral part of the sustainability of life on earth.

Helping Children and Their Parents’s Healthy

Kamis, 17 Februari 2011

There was a dental examination program on Sunday January 30, 2011, our given task was to cover the story. During this activity the dentist did not just pulled out and patched the teeth. The dentist first explain how to care of their teeth before all of the examination is done.  Dentist explained to the children free dental examination participants (200 children and parents) about the correct way to brush teeth so that teeth stay clean and healthy.
Dental examinations activity are held at Mr. Amin's house with wide home and yard. On that occasion we had interviewed several children, including Abi. According to (Abby), "free dental examination is very nice for me with teeth problems". What is your teeth problems Abi? "My teeth nearly fall out in the treatment, and finally the tooth was repealed" Abi Said. Then we interviewed Jemer who had different experiences with Abi. Did you cry when your teeth was pulled? "I cried when my teeth removed by a doctor" Jemer explained. This time we try to meet Ina who happened to also join the activity for free dental examination. Ina, what are the dentist’s Actions before treating your teeth? ''That was my teeth patched by the doctor. The dentist advised that I should not eat food that are very sweet, spicy, and too cold and should be diligent in brushing teeth.''Similar experiences shared by a couple of people we met, like Lia and Akbar.

She promised that she and her friends will contact their friends to participate in educational process for children in Sanggar Rebung

Roasted Chicken for Smart & Nature Lover Kids Writing Club

“Put, lets talk about it first!” Then, immediately, some children run to the other house, where Sanggar Rebung puts books, and for a few second they already talk about
something seriously. Oh… it appears that they are talking about some plans for SMART & NATURE LOVER KIDS WRITING CLUB, a group of writing club which ran since
a few months ago. One of their plan is to collect money from their everyday’s
money that they accept from their parents. With those money, they are going to buy some t-shirts which they can put the logo of this writing club. For your information, the logo and the name of this writing club was created by themselves at
Mei 23rd in a year of 2010. Since that time, their spirits are growing. Not just about t-shirt, the children also talked about choosing their friends to be a chairman, a vice of chairman, a secretary, a treasurer, and a member. Along with that idea, here are the structure of the writing club.

1. CHAIRMAN: Chandra Saputra (3rd of elementary school)
2. VICE OF CHAIRMAN: Rizki Fadilah (5th of elementary school)
3. SECRETARY: Sri Anjani Pramono (4th of elementary school)
4. TREASURER: Putri Camelia (4th of elementary school

MEMBERS:

* Iis Nurjanah (3rd of elementary school)
* Putri Aulia Nabita (3rd of elementary school)
* Muhammad Apri (2nd of elementary school)
* Nurul Fadlah (4th of elementary school)
* Irma (3rd of elementary school)

Every days, the children that join with this writing club are more solid. At the night of June 5th in 2010, they make a roasted chicken in the house of one of them. “Mmm… for celebrate the club,” said Kki alias
Rizki. They bought the chicken, again, from their money. This idea come from themselves.
Seemly, every children have some dreams with this writing club such as Chandra who obsess with hiking and
paralayang. Kiki wants to become an expert in writing. Who knows, from these children born some good writers. Amien.

I Want to Study in UI (University of Indonesia)!

“Wow, this school is very big. I want to study in here!”
Chandra and Kiki scream happily as they walk inside some areas in University of Indonesia, Depok, Mei 28th in 2010. Accompanied by some student from some faculty of University of Indonesia, MIPA (faculty of mathematics and science) and FIB (culture), those two kids walk around the campus that has a large and beautiful area.
First, they visit the park that is located near a river and inscribed with words which said Universitas Indonesia. This park can be seen from Margonda Street that’s head for Pasar Minggu. In this place, Chandra and Kiki are not really realized what kind of place is University of Indonesia. They are just jump around and tease each other.
But, as they move to another place, their eyes open. For example, in Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (faculty of culture), they are very excited when they see artificial temple. Then, they are also very enthusiastic with Texas Bridge. The name of this bridge come from the existence of faculty of culture at one side(sastra) and faculty of science at the other side (teknik). Seemly, at this red and artistic bridge, Kiki and Chandra’s enthusiasm are much bigger to study in UI, just like throwing their dreams to the air, between the wind and the beautiful view.
“Yes, I want to study in here. I promise to study hard and read books all the times.”
Everyone laugh as they hear those words. After visit Texas Bridge, they go to the lake. Unfortunately, in one side, that lake had covered with so much garbage since the lake is being visited with so many people especially in Monday and days of time off. Of course, that condition ruin the view. Fortunately, Chandra and Kiki’s dreams are not withdraw after seeing that bad situation. As the way back to home, they kept mention their dreams to study in UI. So enthusiastic. It can be seen from their faces and their steps.
If a few years ago, Daru had a dream to study in STM Grafika (a high school that has specialized in graph) and can make his own dream come true, it’s also not impossible for Kiki and Chandra’s dreams. Hopefully, their dreams will come true, too. Nothing is impossible, isn’t it?
